Emmy Award® winner, William H. Macy -- from "Fargo" and "Boogie Nights" -- stars in this witty tale of betrayal and seduction in Hollywood. He plays successful film-critic Terry Thorpe who accidentally kills his girlfriend during a lover's spat. But it's his lucky break when the chief investigating officer for the police force, Fred Stapelli (Arkin, Hitch, Chicago Hope) is more interested in breaking into showbiz than apprehending the killer. Ever the skirt-chaser though, Thorpe commences a relationship with Stapelli's wife. Meanwhile, the critic's steady girlfriend, (Huffman, Desperate Housewives) grows increasingly suspicious of him and hatches a scheme of her own.
